A number of my plugins feature “Donation” boxes in the configuration area. I  understand that sometimes you may want to “hide” these boxes, particularly if you’re developing a site for an external client, who may well be paying you for your work, and the last thing you want is them bombarded with boxes asking for money.

I quite agree.
